2011 review of parliamentary remuneration information
Applicant requested:
(1) Documents relating to the Tribunal’s current review of parliamentary remuneration, including the “assessment of the work of federal parliamentary backbenchers” by a consultant referred to in the statement by the Tribunal issued on this matter on 20 September 2011. Also, any costs incurred by the Tribunal in payment for this assessment by a consultant.
(2) Documents relating to a future benchmark for parliamentary remuneration.
(3) Submissions by MPs to the Tribunal regarding these deliberations covering the period May 2011 to 11 October 2011.
(4) Letters and correspondence from the Special Minister of State (SMOS) to the Tribunal regarding these matters. Correspondence from the Tribunal to the SMOS with regards to these matters.
