Specified Statutory Officers

The Tribunal determines the remuneration for Specified Statutory Offices (SSO) which have been operating under the ‘total remuneration’ approach since 1999.  The five Offices are:

  1. Chief of the Defence Force
  2. Auditor-General for Australia
  3. Australian Statistician
  4. Commissioner for Taxation
  5. Chief Executive Officer of Customs
